Vision Statement
Laguna Creek Soccer Club’s vision is a community where we are loyally supported, fiercely proud, and recognized as a unifying and innovative force that creates a positive and nurturing, but challenging learning environment that emphasizes fun, enjoyment, teamwork, and skill development, empowers its players, coaches, and families to achieve their full potential, and provides memorable experiences that instill a life-long passion for the game of soccer.
Mission Statement
Laguna Creek Soccer Club’s mission is to provide the opportunity for soccer training and play for all interested participants designed to develop individual skills, fitness, teamwork and sportsmanship, to support the physical, mental and emotional development of youth players, and to promote, foster and perpetuate the growth of soccer in our community.
We do this work by developing educationally meaningful programs for players, parents, and coaches that are challenging but are easy to access and understand, providing consistently superior coaching, training facilities and equipment, and supporting exceptionally well conceived and organized events supported by dedicated volunteers who are confident, competent, and caring.
Values Statement
To accomplish our mission, the Laguna Creek Soccer Club bases its decisions and actions on the following core values and beliefs:
- We know we are creating the future right now, whether we do so consciously or not.
- We are conscious of how today’s decisions may affect the future of the individuals involved, their families, and our community.
- We consider only those actions that evidence the highest integrity, accountability and quality, or take no action at all.
- We always consider the long-term implications of decisions over short term gain; we are efficient in our use of resources, but do not allow short term efficiency to jeopardize the long-term success of the mission.
- We treat all parties to any decision with respect, dignity, compassion, grace, integrity, honesty and humanity.
- We remove both the negative beliefs of the past which are holding us back and the negative realities of today by focusing only on the positive events and positive beliefs and aim our decisions towards our vision for the future.
- We develop educationally meaningful programs that provide the most long-lasting impact and extended learning as possible for players, parents, and coaches.
- We acknowledge that conventional wisdom may not always provide the most effective approach to the subject as we focus on lasting results.
- We know the members of our Club and community have an abundance of gifts, talents, and strengths upon which to build the future we envision - resources and wisdom that are waiting to be tapped.
- We seek the best tool for the circumstances, regardless of whether we have developed those tools ourselves, and encourage others to use and build upon those tools, to expand the strongest asset we can have - our overall knowledge base.
- We encourage a culture of ongoing learning and evolution of ideas, for ourselves and for our members.
